Colonial Revival

Defined by the style that arose during the colonization of America at the turn of the century, colonial style architecture is still the most popular design style in the United States. Based on 17th and 18th Century structures, colonial design combines elements of Federal and Georgian style architectures. It emphasizes order and simplicity and was introduced in response to the excessive decoration of Victorian architecture.
