Features
Skid-Not® Skid Resistant Coating is a 100% acrylic, textured surface coating for various concrete, asphalt and other floor surfaces: walkways, tennis courts, pool decks, steps, ramps, laundry areas, etc. Skid-Not provides excellent traction quality and color fastness on interior and exterior surfaces. Easy to apply, low odor and soap-and-water cleanup.

Where To Use
Use on concrete, asphalt, previously coated surfaces, primed wood and metal. Not recommended for ponding water areas. Not for use on exterior wood decks, garage floors or other automobile parking areas.

First coat: 50-75 sq. ft./gal. Second coat: 80-100 sq. ft./gal.

Preparing Your Surfaces

Read the Lead Warning in Cautions section. The surface must be clean, dry and free of all loose or peeling paint. Thoroughly clean surface and remove wax and grease with an all-purpose cleaner (TSP or substitute). All bare wood surfaces, new, rough, repaired or badly worn should be sanded and primed with Valspar® Exterior Latex Primer. Remove rust and prime all iron and steel with a rust-inhibitive metal primer. Remove gloss from previously painted surfaces by sanding. For new concrete, allow surface to cure at least 60 days before painting. New, unpainted or smooth, worn concrete must be etched with a concrete cleaner, degreaser and etcher for proper penetration and adhesion. Follow all label instructions. For new asphalt, allow the surface to weather 4-6 months prior to application. Do not apply over “shiny” asphalt or freshly applied tar emulsion asphalt sealers.
