Some plastics and laminates inside the house can be painted, while others cannot. Among the plastics that can be painted are bathroom and kitchen walls, sink backsplashes and cabinets constructed of laminate materials. Interior plastics that cannot be painted include shower stalls, bathtubs, countertops and laminate flooring.
1: Prepare your surface before painting. Scuff sand the surface very lightly to give the primer a surface on which to stick.
2: Next, apply a coat of specialty latex adhesion primer to give the top coat paint additional adhesion to the plastic surface.
3: Finally, apply a coat of high quality 100% acrylic latex paint in a satin or semi-gloss finish to ensure adhesion and achieve superior stain and scrub resistance.
